A careers advice and coaching professional

I specialise in career coaching and I love my work. I’ve guided individuals in their career direction for over 12 years, and provided them with the know-how to get there.

I have a track record, which shows that my clients get great jobs, change careers successfully and make real career progress. Many clients come to me by recommendation, they’re all very different, and my calling is to help them make their mark.

Before specialising in careers advice and guidance, I set up and ran a training and development consultancy, starting in 1987. For over 20 years, I coached individuals, trained groups of people and facilitated company workshops in management, communication and sales subjects. I designed and delivered these personal and organisational development programmes, working with people at all levels from supervisors through to CEOs.

Listed below, by market sector, are just some of the 150 organisations in which I have worked as coach, trainer and facilitator.

My earlier years were spent working in sales, marketing and recruitment with a number of small, medium and large national companies.

As I write this looking back over my career to date, I think it’s been an interesting, varied, and also a rigorous time. It’s included being an employee in different organisations and a business owner, being in well-paid work and also out of work. On several occasions, I received professional career coaching myself, and it had a big impact.

I am married to Catherine and we have 2 children. I enjoy the great outdoors, tennis and sailing. A few times a year, I also get the chance to play my trumpet. And of course, I like to spend time with my family and friends.

Life has thrown plenty of ups and downs at me and I’ve experienced the everyday stresses as well as some major pressures. I’m open to change, and continue to learn and grow.
